Dr. Jessie Mercay - Chancellor AUM S&TSelected Biography: Dr. Jessie (Maya) J. Mercay, PhD, ND, PhDmst Dr. Mercay was a clinician in natural medicine and psychotherapy for twenty- five years prior to establishing AUM S&T. She developed several healing modalities that, because of the high cure rate, were in demand by other professionals. Prior to that she was a college professor in various Universities in the US where she developed curriculum and taught in the field of creativity, media, humanities and visual studies. In addition, for over thirty- eight years she developed curriculum and taught numerous self- help seminars throughout the US including psychologically oriented self- improvement topics, meditation, yoga, shamanism, and professional seminars related to her clinical work. In the 1980’s Dr. Mercay was a business consultant for companies wishing to enrich their programs with team building and personal growth methods. In the late 1970’s Dr. Mercay owned and worked in a multi-media production company that produced film, video, and multi media for business and education. Dr. Mercay served as an Army officer for seven years receiving numerous awards and decorations. Her area of responsibility included personnel management and training. She established guidelines for the US Army testing program and developed methods of dissemination of training materials. As personnel manger, she was responsible for the allocation of seventeen thousand job positions. Dr. Mercay began building structures at an early age on her fathers’ dairy farm in NY, USA. She continued her avocation throughout her life doing additions and remodeling for more than forty years. In the late 1990’s she began a company that bought and remodeled houses for resale. Over time that developed into remodeling for Vaastu rectification and eventually, after studying with Dr. Sthapati further, began building houses and other structures using the principles of Mayonic Science and Technology. Dr. Mercay holds a BA in Sociology and Social Work; an MA in Communications and Multi Media, a Doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine, and a PhD in Psychological and Quantitative foundations with a specialization in Visual Studies (visual anthropology, creativity, and human cognition) and Curriculum Development and Instructional Design. This was a unique selective interdisciplinary program funded by Kodak at the post - graduate level. Her published thesis is titled Visualizer –Verbalizer Cognitive Styles. She holds over thirty post - graduate certificates in various fields of related study. She has been a student of meditation and Vedic literature for over forty years. In addition, she holds certificates of completion and a Doctorate in Mayonic Science and Technology for in-depth scholarly study and writing in Mayonic Science and Technology, Vaastu Shastras, and Building Architecture of Sthapatya Veda. Her published thesis is entitled Fabric of The Universe: The Origins, Implications, and Applications of Vastu Science forwhich has received favorable book reviews . Through her wide life experience and education, and the guidance of Dr. V. Ganapati Sthapati, Vaastu Vyasa, AUM S&T has become a well - defined and solid program for learning Mayonic Science and Technology (Vaastu Shastra and building architecture of Sthapatya Veda). Dr. Mercay has compiled complex and varied information from the Shastras and made it accessible to the western mind. Her mandate is to set a authentic standard of education and standard of practice for Mayonic Science and Technology, Vastu Architecture, Traditional Indian Architecture and Building Architecture of Sthapatya Veda in the Americas. |
